Tito's Greyhound

Tito’s Greyhound from Tito’s Vodka

1 ½ oz. Tito’s
4 oz. fresh grapefruit juice

Put Tito’s and grapefruit juice in a glass with ice, stir, and garnish with a sprig of rosemary*.

In nothing short of a miracle, I did actually garnish this. The smell of the rosemary really adds to the taste of the drink. Try it. I also made another where I put the rosemary on the Traegar for a couple of minutes, and whoo-hoo, it was fantastic.

Sybill Trelawney's Crystal Ball

In the book 50 Amazing Cocktails Inspired by Harry Potter by Archie Thomas, Professor Trelawney is represented by a drink called a Crystal Ball. It's a White Russian in the muggle world. We use this drink to represent Ravenclaw.

Crystal Ball
2 1/2 parts vodka
1 part coffee liqueur
1 1/2 part single cream (half and half for those of us on this side of the pond)
cocktail cherry
ice
Put ice in a cocktail shaker and add vodka and coffee liqueur. Shake. Strain the contents into a glass with fresh ice. Layer on the cream. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.

Harry Potter and all other characters/places/houses/etc. are the property of J. K. Rowling.

I have an unhealthy obsession with salt. It's a good thing I have low blood pressure. A Salty Dog is a go-to beverage whenever we have grapefruit. It's just a thing for us.

Salty Dog
1 ½ oz. vodka
4 oz. fresh grapefruit juice

Put vodka and grapefruit juice in a salt-rimmed glass with ice, stir, be amazing.

If you have never tried Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, you are missing out. It’s amazing. Buy a mini at the liquor store and give it a go.

Blushing Lady
2 oz. quality vodka – we used Tito’s
1 oz. Pama pomegranate liqueur
1 oz. grapefruit juice
Garnish with a lemon wedge – or don’t. You know how we feel about garnishes.

The recipe suggests rimming with sugar. That step made it entirely too sweet for me. Rim yours if you like that extra sweetness, but I just upped the Pama to 1 1/2 oz. Shake the vodka, Pama, and grapefruit in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a glass (sans ice) and enjoy.

2 ounces vodka (I say Tito's)
3 ounces ginger beer (we have a blog on this) or more depending on taste
juice of 1/2 a lime (about 1 ounce)

Pour the above into a copper Moscow Mule cup, or a highball glass. Stir it around and add ice.
