When I think of a proper beach drink, a Mai Tai is what I see. Pineapple chunk garnish, of course.
1 ounce dark rum
1/2 ounce Malibu Rum
3 ounces of pineapple juice
2 ounces of orange juice
1 tsp. grenadine
Combine in one of two ways:
Combine everything together in a shaker filled with ice. Pour and serve.
Combine the Malibu, grenadine and juices in a shaker with ice. Pour that and float the dark rum over the top of the drink and watch the dark sugary goodness seep its way into the juices and your soul.
