Archie Thomas includes this recipe in the "mocktail" section of his book. Since we don't play that way, we added rum. Other than that, the recipe is the same and can be found in the book 50 Amazing Cocktails Inspired by Harry Potter.

According to Archie Thomas in his book 50 Amazing Cocktails Inspired by Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived would be a classic mojito. Here's his recipe for this delightful beverage.
Harry Potter Classic Mojito 2 parts white rum (we used Bacardi) 3/4 part simple syrup 1 part lime juice 3 parts soda water a few mint leaves slice of lime ice Add the simple syrup, lime, and mint leaves to the glass - muddle. Fill the glass 3/4 full with crushed ice. Pour in rum and fill with soda. Stir gently. Garnish with mint and lime. When I think of a proper beach drink, a Mai Tai is what I see. Pineapple chunk garnish, of course.
1 ounce dark rum 1/2 ounce Malibu Rum 3 ounces of pineapple juice 2 ounces of orange juice 1 tsp. grenadine Combine in one of two ways: Combine everything together in a shaker filled with ice. Pour and serve. - or Combine the Malibu, grenadine and juices in a shaker with ice. Pour that and float the dark rum over the top of the drink and watch the dark sugary goodness seep its way into the juices and your soul. Jerry Loves Ginger
