National Mojito Day

7/11/2018

So many rum drinks in July! We'd have to admit that the mojito would be our favorite of our choices. National Mojito Day is a perfect opportunity to taste a bit of the beauty that is the Caribbean and to watch the hijinks of making one here.

Traditional Mojito
2 oz. white rum - we used Bacardi
8-10 mint leaves - mint is amazing, go for 10
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 a lime cut into quarters
club soda to top - we used Q because it's awesome
In a Collins glass, muddle the mint leaves, sugar, and limes in the bottom of the glass until the sugar is nearly dissolved. Fill glass with ice to your liking - 2/3 or all the way - it's up to you. Add the rum and top with club soda. Garnish if you wanna. Suck them bits up through a straw and dream of beaches and palm trees.
